I agonized a long time about which camera to upgrade to, the Sony a77, the Nikon d7000, or the Canon EOS 7d. Well first off the Nikon and Canon had many thoughtful and detailed reviews. The Canon had reviews by relative beginners, and many advanced and pro users. The tipping point for me was Canon’s high satisfaction rating by DPreview. ( 84% ). I had some doubts about this camera when I looked online, but when I handled it for the first time, I was very impressed. Since my photography focus is horses, it was important to me to have a camera with no shutter lag and instantaneous recovery time between shots, which the T3 has.

I also purchased a 55-250 IS zoom lens, a UV filter to protect the lens, and a class 10 Sandisk Extreme SD card. They have worked very well together and I haven’t experienced any problems. The kit lens has enough zoom for most indoor shots, but outside, I nearly always use the 55-250 zoom lens instead.

The battery life is great. I can take several extensive photoshoots before having to charge the battery. I use the manual settings more than the auto settings because I can set the AF points for more creative shots. The photo quality is great and images are sharp with good color.

I have tried multiple drivers over the past couple of years. I was using the past Diablo Driver and was doing OK with it for the past two years. Callaway Diablo Octane Driver After the first couple mis-hits due to the longer length of the shaft and adjusting to a new club. The fact that even some of my mis hit or off center shots still went far and straight! I am a much happier golfer now! But now that I’m used to hitting it, I’m hitting it great!! I highly recommend this driver!! It makes a nice sound instead of that cow bell sound I used to get from my old titanium driver. Lower handicappers who already have a great driver probably do not need this club but it has been perfect for me. Glad I gave this club a shot. Purchased the Callaway Diablo driver last May because it was cheaper than the Diablo Octane driver. The Octane is now at a lower price, have purchased and am amazed how forgiving and accurate it is over the standard Diablo.
